The League Cup resumed last night, with Arsenal and Tottenham both eliminated. The Gunners got beaten by a good Brighton team (3-1). Tottenham got surprised by Nottingham (2-0) Meanwhile, Manchester City disposed of Chelsea (2-0)while Liverpool hardly qualified against a brave Derby County team on penalties.
The Three Lions coach is due to announce the names of the players who will play in the World Cup today. And according to the English press, he has some surprises in store. According to the Daily Telegraph, Southgate will be counting on Manchester City pair Kyle Walker and Kalvin Phillips. The former was injured a few weeks ago and there was no time for him to recover.
